From farming families and history keepers to problem-solvers, neighbours and first-time volunteers, each person brings something different. Together, they're helping shape the future of Guildford Farm.
Meet the People Shaping the Farm
Lester
Agronomist & FarmerLester brings practical farming knowledge and a deep connection to WA agriculture to the Farm. He helps shape its direction — and when something needs fixing, building, moving or figuring out, Lester is usually the person people turn to.
Pip
Farm & Equestrian SupportMuresk Agribusiness graduate and former grain marketer. Enjoys a good champagne, looking after the family and bush trail rides on her trusty steed. Pip brings a practical farming connection to Guildford Farm. She is always ready to lend a hand — whether it's helping with the horses, cleaning up or simply getting stuck into whatever needs doing.
Nicole Laurence
Veterinarian, Guildford Farm Director, Animal CareGuildford Farm was very much born from Nicole's vision for what this special place could become. Nicole has had a rewarding career for nearly 30 years as a veterinarian and is still a vet practice owner. She brings her experience in animal care and also in business to help co-ordinate the restoration of the heritage buildings, care for the river and the wildlife and engage with the Guildford community.
Sam
Construction & RestorationSam brings hands-on expertise to the practical restoration and development of the Farm. From the cottage and stables to the dairy, he is the person helping turn plans into solid, practical work — with the know-how and tools to make it happen.
Jackie
Digital & ContentJackie brings her digital, design and storytelling skills to creating Guildford Farm's online home. She helps shape how the Farm's story is shared — bringing together its people, projects, history and progress in a way that feels clear, welcoming and connected to the wider community.

Farm VolunteerAl has given an extraordinary amount of his spare time to Guildford Farm. Painting, cleaning, tidying, fixing and helping wherever he can, his time and dedication have made a huge difference to the Farm.

Farm & Community VolunteerCody is an important member of the Farm's clean-up crew, always ready to lend a hand around the Farm whenever there's a job to be done.
Lesley
Local History & HeritageLesley helps keep the stories of Terrace Road alive, sharing her knowledge of the people, places and history that have shaped this special part of Guildford. Her stories help connect the Farm's future with the generations who came before.
Bill
Gardens & GroundsBill has taken to the Farm with the same quiet determination he probably applies to everything else in life. He can usually be found in the garden, tidying, pruning, fixing or simply spotting the next thing that needs doing — often before anyone else has noticed it.

Social EngagementAddi is an Old Guildfordian who is extremely passionate about the beautiful land and people who make Guildford the place it is. She loves the outdoors, and is excited to help preserve the heritage of Guildford Farm.
Jake Laurence
Conservation, Repairs & Bird PhotographyJake is an old Guildfordian, currently studying engineering and science at UWA. He's very hands-on, and the first go-to person when some fencing or repairs are needed. He's passionate about the environment and has started a conservation project to regenerate the wetlands and bird habitat — we're applying for City of Swan grants and hope to receive some assistance to improve the health of the river banks. Many of the bird photos on this page are his — feel free to follow him on Instagram.

Tristan
Farm VolunteerTristan graduated from Guildford Grammar School in 2025. His favourite pastimes are watching YouTube, gaming and going to the movies. Tristan holds a drone pilot license and occasionally helps his dad at the Bolgart farm with spraying and spreading. Another member of the clean-up crew, Tristan has been pitching in to help tidy and care for the Farm. He's part of a growing group of young people discovering that there is always something to do when you're at a farm.
Belinda
Farm Volunteer & Strawberry GardenBelinda is a familiar face around Guildford Farm, helping out whenever she can and has taken a particular shine to the strawberry patch. She has played violin for most of her life and is now getting into teaching, with hopes of bringing a little more music into the neighbourhood. Having grown up in the area and graduated from Guildford Grammar in 2025, she's enjoying seeing the Farm take shape and being part of its next chapter.
Cayden
Farm Volunteer & Clean-Up CrewCayden is another reliable member of the Farm's clean-up crew, pitching in whenever there's a big job to tackle. Like several members of the next generation, he has discovered that being part of the Farm can occasionally mean being “volunteered”.
Dylan
Farm Explorer & VolunteerDylan loves spending time at the Farm with his metal detector, exploring the grounds and seeing what he might uncover. He's also part of the clean-up crew — because apparently treasure hunting comes with responsibilities.
And This Is Only the Beginning
Guildford Farm is being shaped by people who give their time, share their skills and simply care enough to lend a hand.
